01.About me

At SURU, part of LIXIL, I own the software product portfolio end to end: from early concept and architecture through production and long-term operation. I built and lead four engineering teams that independently own and evolve their products after launch.

Before that I spent four years at GROHE as Cloud Architect, connecting hundreds of thousands of devices across products like GROHE Sense, Sense Guard and GROHE Blue — and defining the AWS strategy behind them.

I stay hands-on in architecture and key engineering decisions, and I enjoy sharing what I learn from running serverless systems in production with the community.

  1. Leader Software Development @ SURU – Part of LIXIL

    Since Jul 2023 · Previously: Cloud Architect (May 2021 – Jun 2023) · Principal Architect (2022 – 2023) · IoT Architect (2021 – 2022)

    • Own SURU’s software product portfolio end to end, from concept and architecture to production and long-term operation.
    • Built and led four engineering teams with autonomous product ownership.
    • Delivered WaterMonitor, WaterMonitor Public and SURU Connect — serving hundreds of thousands of connected devices, with AI-powered water-anomaly detection that helps prevent water damage.
    • Introduced AI-assisted software engineering, cutting the average number of developers required per product by ~50%.

  2. Cloud Architect @ GROHE – Part of LIXIL

    • Drove GROHE’s technical evolution toward connected digital products and services.
    • Delivered GROHE Sense, Sense Guard and multiple generations of GROHE Blue.
    • Defined and scaled the AWS cloud strategy and built the foundations to operate connected products at scale.
